It was so hot for so long. The domain was born.
PowerShell: ODBC Driver Lookup
The Ask
I received a request to assist with “…identify which of our sql servers have a specfic ODBC driver and if that server has the newest version…”
Jeep: Engine Paint
Degreasing, wire wheels, and media blasting was my even chore for a while to get things ready for paint.
Jeep: Clutch Linkages
The clutch linkages on the Jeep was very greasy and messy. The rubber seals were no longer doing their job. The manifolds and exhaust where removed from the Jeep allowing me easy access to the clutch linkages and bell crank. I used this opportunity to pull it out and give it some refurb treatment.
Jeep: Throttle Linkages
The manifolds look nice and clean making the throttle linkages look yucky, gross, greasy, sticky, unpleasant, just generally sad.
Jeep: Parts Painting
Once the started was painted the desire to keep going was strong. I started cleaning and painting more engine parts.
Jeep: Starter
I had the degreasing system set up and the paint was out for the oil pain. The starter was looking pretty coated in oil and grease.
Jeep: Oil Pan
The oil pan seal was next up for replacement. The oil pan also had a lot of burnt on sludge inside and worn out paint on the outside.
Jeep: Pulling the Head
The head of the engine was a victim of serveral stripped out threads. It was also covered in burnt on oil around the rockers and valves. Pulling the head to get it on the workbench was by best option to get everything cleaned up.
Jeep: Rear Axle Breather
The rear axle breather fitting was snapped off. This was my attempt to create a new fitting using my new mini-lathe.
Jeep: Valve Cover
There was definitely oil getting out from the valve cover seal. The valve cover was loose because many of the threads were stripped. So, I decided to take it off for further inspection.
Jeep: Rear Diff Seal
My quest to identify all the major oil leaks sent me digging into the rear diff seal. This would also give me the opportunity to inspect the gears in the diff.
Jeep: Washer Pump
Jeep: Leaky Pinion Seal
I noticed an oil spot under the rear of the Jeep. I started investigating the location by following the oil path. The pinion seal appeared to be leaking.
